2015年邁阿密大師賽單打第二輪，身為頭號種子的27歲球王喬科維奇(Novak Djokovic)首輪輪空，第二輪打了三盤以6-0、5-7、6-1擊敗斯洛伐克籍25歲克里贊(Martin Klizanr)晉級第三輪。
喬帥與克里贊生涯首次對決，首盤喬帥強勢發揮，送出貝果6-0。
第二盤前2局雙方互破，第8局喬帥再度破發，5-3。眼看就要手握勝利，隨後慘遭，克里贊雖處逆境並未鬆懈，挽救2個局點後逆轉以7-5拿下第二盤。
決勝盤喬帥揮別擊球陰霾，僅讓克里贊保第4局，就以6-1抓住勝利。
賽後喬帥謙虛的感謝克里贊的爭鬥讓他多擊幾顆球，第二盤和第一盤情況完全不同，「這場比賽前，在我的職業生涯中也面臨過這種狀況，這種經驗能助我重新振作。」
喬帥沮喪的說每個運動員在經歷這樣比賽過程中的跌宕起伏，他認為保持自信和沉著並重新管理情緒是很重要的。
